If you were concerned Land Rover’s fifth-generation Discovery had already become too gentrified, now might be a good time to look away.
German tuning house Brabus has let its STARTECH division loose on the latest iteration of the British brute, striving for a “sporty on-road design” and elegant bespoke interior.

The resulting designer outfit is said to improve the Landy’s on-road behaviour considerably, bearing strong contrast with a nameplate that has, traditionally, catered more to off-road enthusiasts.
First, the STARTECH crew developed a range of bodywork components including a front spoiler that attaches to the production bumper, reducing front axle lift at high speed. A further add-on component complements the vehicle’s rear, bringing a diffuser-like embellishment and “integrated tailpipe” piece that neatly surrounds the stock tail pipes.

Twenty-two inch wheels are featured front and rear to really ram home the STARTECH’s on-road bent, while a Union Jack features on the front fenders to keep the Disco’s British heritage in check.
Inside, the modified SUV boasts unique scuff plates, leather and Alcantara options to personalise the Discovery’s already impressive interior.

“There are practically no limits with regard to colors and surface finishes for these components either,” a press release spruiks.
The STARTECH Disco will be on display at next week’s Frankfurt motor show.
