A sinister looking Volkswagen Amarok has broken cover at the Frankfurt motor show at it’s under consideration for Australia.
Dubbed the Dark Label, the special-edition Amarok is based on the mid-range Trendline variant and features a host of dark cosmetic accents, including tinted rear windows and darkened B-pillars and tail-lights.
The tubular side steps, rear bumper, door-handles, sports bar and grille are also finished with black accents and compliment the ‘Durban’ 18-inch wheels presented in a matching dark grey hue.
Grey stripes that run the length of the lower portion of the doors and a ‘Black Label’ decal alerts punters to the dual-cab 4x4 ute’s special-edition status.
Inside, there are heated seats wrapped in Alcantara trim and the Dark Label’s floor mats are fashioned from velour. Passengers will also enjoy such gadgetry as Volkswagen’s Golf-style multi-function steering wheel and an RC 310 radio.
Australian availability is yet to be confirmed, but Volkswagen says the model is investigating the possibility of its local release. Order books for German customers open from November.
