Porsche has released a follow-up teaser to the mystery lamp cluster it posted last month that confirms it is unlikely to pull the drapes off its next-generation Porsche Boxster.
Instead, the team of Porsche motorsport engineers that star in the latest video look like they're hatching an advanced new concept for a racer that features an electric charging port, suggesting it will be all-electric or hybrid-powered.
Set for a debut at the Munich motor show, Porsche also released a second image of what looks like a rear light bar. And if we hadn't witnessed the engineers wearing Porsche Motorsports jackets, it looks like it could have been lifted from a road car.
More evidence that those hoping for the unveiling of the next-gen Porsche Boxster will be disappointed is the confirmation that both Porsche works driver and Le Mans 24 Hours winner Timo Bernhard and Hollywood actor turned Porsche racer Patrick Dempsey will be on hand to help with the premiere.
As well as the mystery concept, Porsche is also hotly tipped to pull the drapes off an RS version of its Porsche Cayman GT4 that should feature more power, less weight and an extreme track-bred suspension set-up.
