Suzuki's Swift is fun -- it's official. The Japanese manufacturer's stylish and weildy new small car (which debuted Down Under early this year) has been awarded "Most Fun to Drive" at its home market Car Of The Year awards for 2005- 2006.
The awards, run and sponsored by the Japanese Car of the Year Executive Committee, recognised the Swift's design, performance and high levels of standard equipment and features as contributing factors to the hatch's overall driveability.
The Swift is in production in Japan, Hungry, India and China. Since its international release in 2004 almost 168,000 units have been produced.
According to Suzuki, the car has far exceeded Suzuki's expected its initial sales targets. In October almost 900 SWifts found new homes outselling the Mazda 2, Honda Jazz, Ford Fiesta and Holden Barina.
