Gearing up for '09 Safari
Even bigger and better than last year's event, the Australasian Safari is on again for 2009Australia's toughest offroad rally, the Australasian Safari, is already accepting 'expressions of interest' for the 2009 event. Scheduled for the first week in August, the event will start from Perth and run along what Event Director, Justin Hunt describes as an "innovative route".
Hunt has already fielded enquiries from Australia and abroad, from wannabe competitors. For 2009, the event will split competitors and their vehicles up into different categories, with details to follow in coming weeks.
"In 2009 we'll start in Perth, and although we aren't yet able to release the details of where the Safari will go next year, I can assure competitors that it will be an awe-inspiring experience for them," says Hunt.
