Rolls-Royce plans to go for broke at this year’s Geneva motor show with a sumptuous 'Serenity' model created by the company’s Bespoke Design team.
Described as the “new benchmark in super-luxury cars”, Serenity will be the highlight of the BMW-owned company’s display in Switzerland.
A mix of influences as diverse as “Kings and Queens, Emperors and Empresses and world leaders throughout history” and “contemporary interpretations of European furniture combined with Japanese Royal Kimono designs”, the Rolls-Royce Serenity uses the “finest of textiles” and is claimed to have the “most opulent interior” of any luxury car.
Rolls-Royce has not supplied any information on the Serenity other than a partial sketch of the interior that appears to depict an abundance of relaxing light green tones and a roof displaying what looks like an urban road map using the same colour palette.
It’s not clear whether the 1977 Australian film The Castle played any role in the naming of the Serenity model, and it is yet to be revealed whether any Bonnie Doon residents will be stumping up the cash for the ultimate Rolls-Royce when and if it arrives in Australia, but the lavish car is sure to be on the must-have lists of many of the world’s multi-billionaires.
The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bespoke Design team was most recently in the news in December 2014 with a short-run collection of cars dubbed the Suhail Collection that embraced Phantom, Phantom Coupé, Ghost and Wraith models.
