Aston Martin has uploaded a video of its new hypercar that will rival the McLaren P1 GTR and Ferrari FXX K.
In the video released late last night, Aston Martin revealed a short clip of a dimly-lit Vulcan’s rear-end as its revved and spat fire from its two side-exit exhausts.
From this first glimpse it’s clear that the Vulcan will indeed be a track-only hypercar since it's unlikely a road car would sport a large diffuser and enormous rear wing.
Expected to be the fastest and most extreme car Aston Martin has ever built in its 102-year history, the Vulcan will be made in very low volumes and possibly priced as much as $3 million.
Power could come from a more powerful version of the limited-run Aston Martin One-77’s 7.3-litre V12. In the super exclusive road car it produced 559kW and sprinted to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
In the new Vulcan hypercar expect power to rise to as much as 700kW and for the Aston Martin hypercar to storm to the 100km/h benchmark in less than three seconds.
Like the P1 GTR and FXX K, Aston is expected to offer wealthy Vulcan owner a driver-training program and private track days to help them learn how to drive their Vulcan hypercar flat out.
The new Vulcan will be unveiled alongside the new
at the Geneva show on March 3.
