Steel yourself for a drip-feed that’s going to stretch into 2015– Honda’s got a new Type-R Civic on the way and it’s making the most of the time available to build the hype surrounding it.
Overnight, the Japanese brand released these sketches of a “concept” version the car motoring.com.au drove in prototype form last year. It said of the Geneva-bound “Racing Car for the Road”, that Civic Type R Concept model would provide the styling direction for “the exterior design of the highly-anticipated production version”.
At this stage, there looks to be general similarity to the development car we drove in Japan after last year’s Tokyo Motor Show. That said, if the sketch is true to the production car, perhaps we can expect a significant increase in track width over the donor Civic coupe.
No doubt all will be revealed – eventually... In the meantime: drip, drip, drip....
