Hyundai has teased a solitary image outlining what it calls the i-oniq concept.
Set to preview at the Geneva Motor Show from March 8 – 18, i-oniq is borne of Hyundai’s Rüsselsheim R&D centre in Germany. Hyundai's Euroconcepts do lead to production versions, as was the case with the i-Flow concept that inspired the mainstream i40 for production.
However, the Korean manufacturer is tight-lipped about the concept, preferring instead to discuss what’s already obvious in terms of its form:
“Two strong arched curves define the silhouette of i-oniq, creating a playful contrast between the sharp character lines and soft but muscular features,” explained Hyundai’s European chief designer, Thomas Bürkle.
More information on the i-oniq concept will be revealed ahead of its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
