Infiniti says it will reveal a new high-performance hybrid concept based on its current Q60 coupe that is claimed to harness technology developed by the Renaultsport Formula One team.
Releasing a single teasing image of the Q60 Project Black S, the premium Japanese brand say the concept has been created to "gauge public interest" in a high-tech BMW M4-rival.
Said to incorporate a radical energy recovery system, that harvests energy to boost torque on demand, Infiniti says the collaboration with Renault F1 was inspired by the advanced dual-hybrid systems the French race team uses on its F1 cars.
As well as the advanced hybrid powertrain, the Q60 Project Black S concept will also come with, what's thought to be, a completely rethought aero that's expected to package active aerodynamic aids.
All will be revealed on March 7.
