Lamborghini will use next week's Geneva motor show to unveil the Spyder version of its Huracan Performante.
Already seen testing almost completely undisguised, until now, it's not been known where the famous Italian supercar maker would launch its most extreme Lambo drop top of all time.
That mystery is now solved following an invitation to Lamborghini's press conference at the Geneva motor show was sent out to journalists that features a pixelated image of the Performante Spyder confirming its presence at the Swiss show.
Set to use the same 470kW/600Nm 5.2-litre V10 as the coupe, the Sypder is almost certain to keep the regular Huracan's Haldex all-wheel drive.
Weighing in at an almost identical 1380kg kerbweight as the coupe, the Spyder will feature a modified version of Lamborghini's acclaimed Attiva' aerodynamic system that helped the Performante coupe set a fastest-ever (and disputed) 6:52.01 lap of the Nurburgring.
Losing its roof is unlikely to compromise performance in a straight line with the Lambo roadster set to hit 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and 200km/h in just 8.9 seconds before topping out a very blustery 325km/h.
Like the regular Spyder, the roof can be raised or lowered in just 17 seconds.
It's rumoured the Huracan Performante Spyder will go on sale shortly after the Geneva show with European deliveries beginning in the middle of 2018.
It's not been announced how much of a premium, over the coupe's already substantial $483,866, buyers will be expected to pay for their open-air thrills.
