Morgan has revealed a second teaser image of a new sports car that will make its world debut at next week's Geneva motor show, revealing the vehicle's complete side profile for the first time.
Published on Morgan's official Facebook page overnight, the image shows the unnamed two-door model – which features classic Morgan design cues including a large grille, long bonnet and side exhaust outlets, will be related to the existing Aeromax and Aero SuperSports models.
No further information has been released, but this recent teaser video makes it clear the new Morgan coupe will be powered by a raucous V8.
It's possible the car will be a replacement for either the Aero coupe or the SuperSport hard-top convertible, which currently tops the brand's Australian range at $339,990.
If so, it will be the first new Morgan released since the Plus 8 Speedster in 2014. The Plus 8 is based on the same aluminium chassis as the Aero models and weighs less than 1200kg. All three modern Morgans are powered by a BMW-sourced 4.8-litre V8.
Morgan last month received Australian Design Rule approval for the venerable Morgan 3 Wheeler, which will be released here in June.
