GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: Pininfarina gives glimpse of HK GT concept

Famous Italian styling house previews concept created for Hong Kong-based automotive start-up

Just days before its public debut at the Geneva motor show, Pinanfarina has given us our clearest look yet at the all-new coupe it has designed for Hong Kong-based Hybrid Kinetic Group.

Set for an official unveil on March 6, the HK GT looks as if it has been created to rival vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz CLS.

Featuring giant outlandish gull-wing doors that, unusually, are hinged from the rear of the car the HK GT's design is all the more dramatic because of the complete absence of a B-pillar that would normally obscure its luxurious cabin.

Described as an "elegant and eco-sustainable Gran Turismo", both Hybrid Kinetic and Pininfarina have not yet released any information on the glamorous coupe but it's thought to feature an advanced 600+kW plug-in hybrid powertrain that has been developed by the fledgling Hong Kong-based car maker.

It's also rumoured the HK GT could also feature an advanced autonomous driving capability but all will be revealed in a matter of days.
