GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: Pininfarina teases another concept

Pininfarina has teased yet another concept it plans to reveal at this March's Geneva motor show.

Brought back from the brink by Indian car making giant, Mahindra and Mahindra, back in December 2015 the famous Italian firm now seems intent to show it remains the car industry's number one design consultancy.

That's why Pininfarina has already given us a glimpse of a concept that's claimed to have been created following a collaboration with former F1 champion and two-time winner of the Indy 500, Emerson Fittipaldi.

Instead of an F1-inspired supercar, according to Pininfarina, the new tease is of a sleek new eco-friendly sedan that's set to debut pioneering new CO2-saving technology.

The all-new concept is said to have come, again, from a collaboration but this time with Hong Kong-based tech company, Hybrid Kinetic Group (HKG).

Called the H600, rumours are the new sedan will come powered with either a state-of-the-art plug-in hybrid powertrain or a radically new hydrogen fuel cell.

It's rumoured that the '600' designation could hint at the horsepower, kilowatts or torque the HKG commissioned sedan produces, which could see the H600 come with anything between 450-600kW.

In any case, whatever powers the H600 the new super sedan will almost certainly employ both powerful electric motors and next-gen batteries as HKG claims it is one of the "world's leading battery experts".

It's thought the tech company, that already sells electric buses, could be testing the water at the show for a potential Tesla Model S-rival.
