Georgia Love's top five things to keep in the car

We find out how to stay camera-ready when on the road with TV's Georgia Love.

Channel 10 reporter Georgia Love has established a successful career in the challenging and face-paced industry of television journalism. Love started her journalism career as a presenter and reporter for WIN Tasmania but it was perhaps her quest to find love on The Bachelorette in 2016 that many of us first laid eyes on her salon-inspired locks and warm smile.

But what to do without a hair and make-up team at the ready? Georgia speaks with carsales to share her top tips for staying camera-ready on the road. Easier said than done!

“This can be one of the most challenging parts about being a TV field reporter! Most people think everyone in television has their hair and make-up professionally done daily but that's not the case at all when you're working on the road.” says Love.

Imagine getting camera-ready in the car, sometimes in the dark, rushing between jobs at all hours of the day. It’s all in a day’s work for Love and quite frankly, we’re ready to be schooled!

Georgia Love’s top five things to keep in the car to stay camera-ready on the road are:

1. Invest in a good hairspray. When you can't use heat styling tools (in the car!!) hairspray can do a lot for a hair style!

2. Carry dry shampoo everywhere. This will cover a whole manner of sins!

3. Get a good compact powder. For touch-ups on the road and powdering down potential "sheen" (read: when I was covering bushfires and it was 42 degrees… sweat doesn't look great on camera!)

4. Keep a mirror in your handbag

5. Eyedrops. Often working on the road means you're doing long hours. Eye drops can be a godsend for tired, red eyes and can instantly make you look brighter. And more awake!
