Glickenhaus SCG 007 hypercar revealed

Set to square up to the Aston Martin Valkyrie and a new Toyota hybrid hypercar, the SCG 007 could become the first American racer to grab outright victory at Le Mans since Ford's original momentous win back in 1969 with the GT40.
The small sports car maker funded by American billionaire Jim Glickenhaus has already confirmed the SCG 007, which will spawn a road-going version, will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo hybrid powertrain.

According to Glickenhaus, its latest hypercar will combine a 478kW twin-turbo V6 driving the rear wheels with a small electric motor that sends 110kW to the front axle.
Under the 2020/2021 WEC rules, car-makers entering the new hypercar class must homologate at least 20 road-legal models over two years, meaning an SCG 007 with number plates might be produced in tiny volumes.
It's not known if, like the forthcoming 004S, the SCG 007 will come with a three-seat layout.
