Gordon Ramsay drops the F-bomb

Best known for his explosive temper and expletive laden outbursts on his reality TV series, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is more favourably disposed to the Prancing Horse.

Matter of fact, he owns a Ferrari or two, which is no doubt what helped get him invited to Ferrari's HQ in Maranello, Italy.

The super chef Ramsay was treated to a drive on the Fiorano test track, but not before an extended pit stop at Ferrari's canteen, Il Podio, to critique the cuisine.

As Ferrari put it, Ramsay wanted to see if the food performed as well as the cars.

Workers in the canteen were deathly silent as they waited to see if the renowned chef would explode with a tirade of insults when the food he was served.

Fortunately for Ferrari's resident chefs, he seemed to like it, describing the classic Bolognese tagliatelle as "bellissimo".

Or maybe he was obliged to say that in order to get out for a hot hap of the nearby Fiorano test track after lunch.

"You can feel the passion of the people working here," Ramsay said after strutting through the kitchen.

"It’s incredible; I couldn’t imagine such a place where everyone shares same passion, right across the company: bellissimo!"

Ferrari's CEO Amedeo Felisa organised Ramsay a test drive of the V8-powered Ferrari 458 Italia.

But he clearly didn't trust the fast foodie behind the wheel of Ferrari's fastest ever production car, the V12-powered F12 Berlinetta, instead relegating him to the passenger's seat beside test driver Raffaele de Simone.

Living up to his reputation, Ramsay exclaimed afterwards that he'd "left his a** on the last corner" and exclaimed "Sh**, top that!"
