Environmentally friendly hire car company launchedAustralia's first environmentally friendly hire car company has been launched in Melbourne. 'Ecolimo' owner Don Pyke, who has over 20 years' experience as a professional driver, is launching the company to provide a green alternative for people who are interested in reducing global warming through the reduction of carbon emissions.
"The service will be priced to be directly competitive with other limousine or hire car companies," said Mr Pyke. "It shouldn't cost more to choose the green alternative.
Ecolimo's green fleet will feature the Lexus GS450h which was awarded a 4.5 star rating by judges for the Australian Government Green Vehicle Guide this year. Lexus Australia divisional manager Scott Grant said the company was pleased to be part of the innovative program and "dedicated to the concept of hybrid technology".
"We can guarantee this will not only be helping the environment but will be an unparalleled experience in terms of vehicle quality and performance."
