Car and motorcycle buffs will converge on the Winton Motor Raceway near Benalla in Victoria in May 2017 to participate in the 41st Historic Winton, which is billed as Australia’s largest and most popular all-historic motor race meeting.

Kicking off with the Benalla and District Classic Car and Motorbike Tour on Friday, May 26, the event will include “two big days of non-stop racing” over the weekend of May 27-28.

A display of heritage vehicles including more than 400 historic racing cars and motorcycles spanning the period from the 1920s to the 1980s will be transported to Winton for viewing by the public.

The massive heritage display will include vintage tractors, steam engines, vintage caravans, vintage speed boats, model planes, vintage speedway cars and bikes, micro cars, cycle cars, pedal cars, pushbikes, dragsters, veteran and vintage cars and motorcycles.

Spectators will also have access to the competition paddock where old racing vehicles will be on open display. The Shannons Classic Car Park will feature car and bike clubs, as well as special-interest vehicles.

Celebrations to be held at the event will stretch back as far as 110 years to include:
