The Carsales Network now provides used car seekers with Green Star Ratings on vehicles sold in Australia since 2004

In April this year, the Carsales Network upgraded its information base to provide new car buyers with safety and greenhouse ratings via the Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) and the Federal Government's Green Vehicle Guide (GVG).

Now, an expansion of the service allows used car buyers to access Green Star ratings back to 2004, as they applied at the time of the vehicle's manufacture.

As well as providing valuable competitive data on relevant alternative vehicles, the 10-point maximum Green Star ratings also provide a view of how older vehicles rate against current-generation offerings.

ANCAP data continues to provide safety ratings of up to five stars on new and current-model dealer demonstration cars.
