US tuner and hypercar-maker Hennessey Performance Engineering has launched a wild new pick-up truck that features six-wheel drive and generates an incredible 755kW from its 6.2-litre supercharged V8.
The truck, dubbed the Hennessey Mammoth 6x6, started life as a RAM 1500 TRX before the Texas-based firm stretched the rear bed by more than 1200mm and added a third axle.
That means the modified RAM truck measures in at an enormous 7190mm long, 2133mm tall and 2235mm wide.
The Mammoth 6x6 features six 20-inch rims wrapped in huge 37-inch all-terrain tyres.
Under the bonnet, the mighty 6.2-litre supercharged V8 is uprated with a bigger higher-flow supercharger, new injectors, a revised induction system and a fresh engine map to produce not only 755kW but a herculean torque peak of 1314Nm.
Helping to improve its on-road driving manners, Hennessey says it has fitted the Mammoth with a Bilstein-developed suspension that's suited for fast on- and off-road driving.
Other modifications include new front and rear bumpers, extra LED driving lamps and an upgraded, more luxurious cabin.
Joining the existing six-wheel VelociRaptor 6x6 and Goliath 6x6 Silverado, the Mammoth 6x6 has been priced in the US from $449,950 ($A610,000).
Hennessey says it will make just 12 of its highly modified Ram trucks a year.
Company founder and CEO, John Hennessey, said: "Everything we do at Hennessey Performance is turned up to 11, but the Mammoth 1000 6x6 is definitely turned up to 12.
"Everything on the Mammoth 6x6 is bigger, badder and more imposing – plus, it’s still super-fast, while being a total powerhouse off-road. It’s the undisputed king of the road."
