
Holden has confirmed details of Viva – its new Korean-built small car. The details were confirmed in a short media release on Friday (Sept 23), two weeks ahead of the media and public launches of the new car
According to Holden, Viva will be the only nameplate in its category offering sedan, hatch and wagon variants under $20,000. Accordingly, Viva recommended retail pricing (excluding dealer delivery and government charges) is as follows.
Hatch 1.8L Auto $19,990

Optional equipment packs to be launched with the car include: Metallic paint ($300), ABS, alloy wheels, rear power windows (on hatch and sedan, $1290) and ABS and alloy wheels (on wagon, $1190).
The public unveiling of the Viva is scheduled for the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney on October 15. Holden was prompted to confirm the pricing and details of the new car ahead of the launch after information was published on various websites including those of GM Holden dealers.
CarPoint will review the Viva and its new Korean-sourced Barina stablemate in early October. Pricing for the new Barina is expected to be announced on October 9.
