Holden Colorado upgrade kits from Walkinshaw
Aftermarket supplier announces two new packs for Colorado LCV to improve driveability and styleWalkinshaw Performance has two new packs to enhance the strong, rugged looks of the Holden Colorado, for owners who like function and form in the same package.
But the company's Xtreme Low Rider and Xtreme High Rider packages aren't limited to sharpening the Colorado's styling. Bespoke alloy wheels (19x9-inch) are complemented by new spring and damper settings for a ride that is more car-like, but enhances handling as well, the company claims.
"The first thing you're going to notice is the improved response and general feel of the car. It's quicker to react and really fun to drive," says Tony Harris, Walkinshaw's General Manager.
Both packs are priced at $6990 and can be fitted to any 4x2 or 4x4 model built since 2012. Walkinshaw is also offering a unique daytime running light accessory for $795.
The alloy wheels for both kits are finished in Graphite Black, with the Xtreme Low Rider riding on Continental Conti Cross Contact UHP 255/55 R19 tyres. As the name indicates, ride height at the rear has been lowered 30mm.
In contrast, the Xtreme High Rider is fitted with Cooper Zeon LTZ 255/55 R19 tyres and suspension has been raised 50mm at the front and 15mm behind. Springs for both have been engineered by Walkinshaw, and are combined with new bump stops and Bilstein dampers tuned specifically for the application. The kits also feature the Xtreme legend on the tailgate.
According to the company, the kits do not conflict with the Colorado's factory stability control settings, speedo calibration or GVM/payload capacity. Each modified vehicle comes with its own certificate of authenticity. Due to supply, the Xtreme Low Rider and High Rider kits will only be available initially through the months of July and August, but production will recommence in October.
