The final year of production for the locally-manufactured Holden Commodore sees a unique offer extended to buyers of the limited-edition Motorsport, Director and Magnum models – select your own build number.
Holden has issued a press release today, revealing that over 50 per cent of the individual build-plate numbers have already been reserved, after just 15 minutes. The manufacturer is keeping all its customers in the loop, with pictures of each car on the production line forwarded to its respective buyer during 2017. That includes the buyers of 'boggo' Commodores, not just the limited-edition variants.
“Providing a customer experience that’s over and above all expectations is critical for us and the feedback we’ve had from these two initiatives so far has been phenomenal,” says Holden CRM Manager, Rich Wright.
“One minute before the Special Edition build number selection website went live we had over 1000 people waiting for it to open and three hours later almost 80 per cent of numbers for sold cars had been claimed.
“We’ve seen some definite trends in number popularity. For example, all of the first 200 and last 100 Motorsport Edition numbers have gone as well as all double and triple digits like 55 or 555. It’s been great to watch!”
Less than two days remain for buyers to nominate their preferred build plate number for the limited-edition models. Holden will end the selection option at 12pm on May 10.
