Holden drivers are the angriest and most dangerous on Aussie roads, according to new findings by insurance comparison site iSelect, while those driving Toyotas are thought to be some of the best.
The answers to other hard-hitting questions were also revealed, such as who are the most cautious drivers (Volvo), who are the slowest (also Volvo), and who are the fastest (BMW).
To gather the results, iSelect quizzed more than 3000 Australians, finding that Toyota drivers are thought to not only be the most polite and friendly motorists, but also the best drivers.
Hyundai and Mazda drivers also scored high ratings, while Kia and Honda drivers rounded out the top five.
Interestingly, the 18 to 34-year-old group were more likely to put Hyundai drivers above Toyota in terms of politeness, but Toyota won the majority vote.

But at the opposite end of the scale, Holden drivers were voted as the most angry (I mean, who hasn’t been tailgated by a screaming driver in a VT Commodore?), followed by BMW (money can’t buy happiness, it seems), Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.
Those five were also voted ‘rudest’, albeit in a slightly different order: BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Holden, and Ford.
The ‘fastest’ drivers are thought to drive BMWs, while the ‘slowest’ (and most cautious) awards go to Volvo drivers.
BMW drivers aren’t having a good run lately – recently they were found to have the most narcissistic traits of all drivers. And it’s more bad news in this study, where BMW drivers were also voted as the worst drivers overall, followed by Holden, and, surprisingly, Volvo!
It just goes to show, being overly cautious isn’t always a good thing. Ford and Mercedes-Benz were also up there for ‘worst’ drivers, while Jeep and Land Rover also made the top 10.
