Holden is targeting the membership of the AFL’s most populous club with a special edition Commodore.
The snappily-named Collingwood Edition Commodore is now available to order via your local Holden dealer as an option pack on any Heron White SV6, SS or SSV sedan. The official option code is B05 and is priced at $3500.
In a dealer bulletin issued last week, Holden stated: “The partnership between Holden and the Collingwood Football Club is a powerful combination of two iconic brands. The purpose of this bulletin is to expand upon how we intend to maximise that partnership with an innovative marketing program that will help Dealers sell more cars.”
To maximise the relationship with Collingwood, Holden is also recruiting “a dedicated CFC [Collingwood Football Club] Holden Sales Consultant”.
“There are over 80,000 Collingwood Football Club (CFC) members cross Australia. The Club and Holden are working Side by Side in 2014 to leverage our partnership, aiming to drive that member base to 100,000 and in the process make compelling offers on the purchase of a new Holden”, the dealer bulletin stated.
The Collingwood Edition Commodore pack includes
>> 20 x 8.5’’ HF20 Forged Alloy wheels in Black
>> Bridgestone Potenza tyres 245/35ZR20
>> Track Stripes in Black (Hood, bootlid and bodysides)
>> Rear decklid lip spoiler in Black
>> Front Grille surrounds in Black (SSV includes black DRL surrounds)
>> Fender vents in Black
>> Black mirror caps
>> Alloy sill plates with Holden ‘Enhanced’ graphics acid etched
>> Collingwood logo embroidered front floor mats (rear carpet mats are also standard)

Purchasers of the Collingwood Edition will also be entitled to an “exclusive money can’t buy Collingwood experience package” that will include an exclusive family day at Colligwood’s Westpac Centre HQ in Melbourne, an exclusive owners cocktail party (also at the Westpac Centre) and a CFC football jumper signed by the club captain Scott Pendlebury, Dayne Beams and 2010 premiership captain, Nick Maxwell.
Eligible Collingwood members are also entitled to a “special $550 discount funded by Holden on their purchase of a new Holden”. The discount applies to Collingwood Commodore model.
motoring.com.au understands there is no truth in the rumour Holden will fit a special truncated grille to the Collingwood Edition Commodore, however, special tribal tattoo sticker packages may become available.
