Holden is building a batch of 450 Barinas with a 'Trio' pack included for just $1000 more than the price of the standard car.
For that, the limited edition model gains MyLink infotainment, a power sunroof, front fog lights and badging. According to the manufacturer, the extras total up to $2000 worth of added value.
The Barina Trio is already in production and the company expects it will sell quickly. According to Holden's Director of Marketing, Bill Mott, the limited edition Barina is aimed at younger, 'connected' drivers.
"The Barina is already an exciting, energetic and appealing small car but with the 'Trio' pack we dial up the fun a little more." Mott was quoted saying in a press release.
"The introduction of MyLink gives drivers a wealth of technology at their fingertips, and will allow them to experience a premium feature, without the premium price."
Barina Trio prices are as follows:
Hatch manual – $16,390
Hatch auto – $18,590
Sedan manual – $16,890
Sedan auto – $19,090
