Holden has released a second run of special edition Thunder utes. The SS Thunder Ute comes with extra value goodies, worth $3000 says Holden.
Available for the SS models only, the SS Thunder Utes get the 18-inch alloy wheels as seen on the special edition Monaro CV8-R, twin aero form hard tonneau cover, red painted brake callipers with Holden logo on the front brakes and leather-faced seat and door trim.
The SS Thunder Ute is equipped with Holden's Gen 4 6.0-litre V8 engine rated at 260kW at 5600rpm, and 510Nm at 4400rpm. The utes are available with either six-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
The SS Thunder Ute is available now, starting at $42,990.
Holden has also released the SV6 Ute, replacing the the 'S' model. The SV6 Ute is equipped with the Alloytec V6 engine which produces peak power of 190kW at 6500rpm (with automatic transmission) and peak power of 187kW at 6000rpm (manual transmission) and 335Nm of peak torque at 3200rpm.
The SV6 Ute is available with a five-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous four-speed version in the S model. Customers can choose from six exterior colours including the new VE 'hero' colour, Ignition.
Prices for the SV6 Ute start at $33,990 or $34,990 for the auto.
