Honda has revealed an all-new concept for a small, lightweight sports car that appears to be heavily influenced by its second-generation NSX supercar.
After it was leaked last month, the reveal of what enthusiasts are heralding as the 'baby NSX' follows its inclusion in the new PlayStation Gran Turismo Sport racing simulator.

Called the Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo, the new virtual concept is, alas, just that -- created for gamers rather than real drivers.
Despite that, the Japanese car-maker claims it has developed the Sports Vision as it would a regular car, even going as far as creating a full-scale model for wind-tunnel testing.

That's why, instead of a ludicrously unrealistic V10, the Sports Vision comes with a mid-mounted 300kW 2.0-litre turbocharged VTEC engine from its latest Civic Type-R.
Instead of a manual transmission, the Sports Vision gets an eight-speed dual-clutch 'box and, thanks to its construction, engineers claim the Vision Sport weighs in at just 899kg.

Honda hasn't revealed performance figures for its Vision Sport.
It's been known for some time the Japanese car-maker is readying a sports car to replace the old S2000 roadster.
In July this year, Honda was even caught patenting what appeared to be a Porsche Boxster rival but resisted revealing even a concept for such a vehicle at the recent Tokyo motor show.
