Honda Australia has announced an updated MY18 Jazz range, bringing new exterior styling, more standard equipment and a vivid new orange paint job to the light-size hatchback line-up.
Arriving in Honda dealerships nationally from this month, the revised three-grade Jazz family remains as before, with the VTi five-speed manual opening the range from $14,990 plus on-road costs and a CVT automatic version costing $2000 extra at $16,990.
However, the mid-range VTi-S CVT now costs $200 more at $19,990 plus ORCs, while the flagship VTi-L CVT is $500 more expensive at $22,990 plus ORCs.
Although there are no changes to the smallest Honda’s 88kW/145Nm 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine, all MY18 Jazz models score new front and rear bumpers, a new grille and, for the VTi-L grade, new bi-LED headlights with LED high and low beam, as well as LED daytime running lights (DRLs).
Fresh 16-inch alloy wheel designs are reserved for the VTi-S and VTi-L, while a new Phoenix Orange pearlescent paint colour completes the exterior enhancements.
However, all metallic and pearlescent paints – including Phoenix Orange, Brilliant Sporty Blue, White Orchid, Lunar Silver, Modern Steel and Crystal Black – cost $495 extra, meaning that only Rally Red solid paint is standard.
For a further $1498 (fitted), Jazz customers can also specify a Luxe Pack including black alloy wheels, door visors, bonnet protector, alloy pedals, carpet mats, door sill garnish and a luggage tray.
The big changes are inside, where the MY18 Jazz brings a 7.0-inch touch-screen audio system that, for VTi-S and VTi-L variants, includes satellite-navigation as standard.
Other standard features like the model’s renowned Magic Seats, which offer 18 different configurations, continue — see below for full model-by-model details.
“Combined with Honda’s new five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, the refreshed Honda Jazz makes a very compelling argument for customers as one of the best equipped and best value-for-money light cars available,” said Honda Australia Director, Stephen Collins.
Arriving hot on the heels of the company’s new Civic hatch and sedan and new CR-V, the updated Jazz completes the renewal or upgrade of Honda’s entire model range over the past 18 months.
