Honda has released a video of its next-generation NSX in action via Acura’s Instagram page.
The footage shows the all-new Japanese supercar driven in anger on a wet racetrack, against the sound of its mid-mounted V6.
Honda revealed the first image of its second-generation NSX last week, when it confirmed the prototype will make its dynamic public debut at the Mid-Ohio circuit in the US, ahead of this weekend’s Honda Indy 200 IndyCar Series.
As evidenced by last week’s image, the NSX prototype remains mostly faithful to the updated NSX concept that previewed it at this year’s Detroit motor show.
Development of Honda’s reborn NSX performance flagship -- which will be launched globally, including in Australia, in 2015 -- is continuing apace in North America, where it will be built.
Honda has confirmed the prototype is powered by the production NSX’s mid-mounted V6 and new three-motor Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive) system, which includes an electric motor for each front wheel and another integrated into the dual-clutch transmission.
