The sporty 2026 Skoda Elroq RS will be unwrapped on April 3 at the Milan Design Week, as the Czech firm puts the final touches to its Mini Aceman JCW rival ahead of its launch later this year.
Still to be confirmed for an Australian launch tipped for the first half of 2026, the first tease of the high-performance small SUV reveals it will come with the option of Mamba Green paint and contrasting black trim reserved for Skoda RS models.

Other glimpses reveal a gloss black Tech Deck front grille, a unique set of aerodynamically enhanced rims and a sporty downforce-boosting body kit.
Within, there’s a sports steering wheel and a pair of figure-hugging sports seats that feature both Mamba Green stitching and RS branding.
No technical details have yet been released but it’s thought the Elroq will borrow its powertrain from the Cupra Born VZ electric hot hatch, which shares the same Volkswagen Group MEB platform.

Expect the Elroq RS to come with VW’s latest AP550 e-motor, which will provide drive to the rear wheels.
Tipped to produce the same 240kW and 545Nm of torque, the Elroq RS should come with a zero to 100km/h sprint time of around 5.6 seconds, on its way to a 200km/h top speed.
When it arrives next year the hot Elroq will join the Octavia, Enyaq and Kodiaq models in Skoda Australia’s RS line-up.
Later, it’s thought a fifth member could be added if the Czech car-maker spins off its own take of the inbound Volkswagen ID.2 GTI, based on its closely related Skoda Epiq hatch.

It’s too early for pricing for the latest Elroq RS but it’s thought costs could be announced soon ahead of the Skoda Elroq’s arrival Down Under in the second half of 2025, when it will sign on as an all-electric replacement for the Karoq.
