Garth Tander has today unveiled the dramatic new livery for the Commodore he'll run at Bathurst next month with co-driver Warren Luff.
And reflecting the sponsorship deal tied up for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', which is due for release in local cinemas on December 17, the Commodore has been gussied up just for the one iconic event at Bathurst in appropriate thematic livery.
It's not the first time a Commodore-driving team has headed to Bathurst wearing special colours for the event; last year, Red Bull Racing fronted with RAAF livery.
The V8 Super car event, formally known as the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, is to be held over the weekend of October 8-11. This year marks a quarter of a century of HRT competing at Bathurst, and to celebrate the occasion, Holden also had the VL Commodore of Allan Grice and Win Percy from 1990 on display, along with Tander's regular VF Commodore race car.
