Hype machine: PSC Motors reveals 1.3MkW hypercar

Fledgling Las Vegas-based car-maker gunning for Koenigsegg with new SP-200SIN

PSC Motors has teased grainy pics of the wild hypercar it hopes will steal sales from Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche and Koenigsegg.

Called the SP-200SIN, the new 4400mm long, 2000mm wide,1100mm tall hypercar is said to be powered by a huge, 9.0-litre V8 hybrid engine.

Claimed power is an incredible 1268kW with both the power outputs of the V8 and electric motor combined. This helps the new US-built SP-200SIN to hit 100km/h in 2.8 seconds and top out at well over 450km/h. The rear-wheel drive PSC hypercar also has an electric-only range of more than 50km.

Based on what’s thought to be an aluminium spaceframe the SP has a bodywork made entirely of carbonfibre and tips the scales at an impressive 1400kg considering the heavy lithium ion batteries is must carry.

According to PSC Motors boss Antonio Calva, the hypercar has been five years in the making.

“When this project was started five years ago, we wanted to do something new, something special that can pay tribute to some of the world’s fastest cars.

“Nobody needs 1000 horsepower, so we gave it more,” he says.

PSC Motors hopes to make 35 cars a year with production starting some time in 2016.

The full reveal of the SP-200SIN will happen on 1 June.
