Pagani has used its Facebook page to tease what looks to be a more hardcore, powerful track-suited version of its Huayra hypercar.
Dressed in full camouflage, it’s clear from the image the Huayra rides lower, has a huge fixed wing and a bigger carbon-fibre rear diffuser that hints at a completely new aero package under the skin.
It’s not known if the new Huarya will be a road-legal racer or copy the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Aston Martin by offering a dedicated, extreme track-only racer.
Captioned with “2016 is coming” the picture also carries the hashtag #huayrabc - hinting the more extreme version could be called the ‘Huayra BC’.
How powerful the new car is, is still unknown but expect a significant lift from the already mighty 545kW/1100Nm the current car’s Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 produces.
This means it will be even quicker than the 3.3 second dash the current car takes to reach 100km/h - although most of work carried out by engineers will have been invested in lowering the car’s dry weight of 1370kg and improving the car’s aero.
Expect the faster, lighter, more extreme version of the Pagani Huayra to make its official debut at the Geneva motor show this March 2016.
