Leaked images of the all-new 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 N sedan have been posted on Instagram a day before its official reveal at the Busan motor show in Korea.
Posting two images of a completely undisguised show car using the Insta handle Shorts_car, the two pics give us our first glimpse of what's set to be the N division's quickest-ever car.
No details were released along with the images but, from first glance, it looks like the fast battery-electric N model will bag a styling kit that appears to be lifted from either one of the Korean brand's TCR touring racers or the i20 WRC rally car.
Interestingly, for an all-electric car, the front of the IONIQ 6 N is dominated by a large air dam that's flanked either side by intakes that are thought to send jets of cooling air to the huge front brakes.
A large front splitter, meanwhile, with big canards are joined by wide side skirts that lead along the body to what looks like huge rear arch extractors.
Not pictured is an expected large twin lid rear spoiler and imposing rear diffuser that are all thought to generate plenty of downforce without compromising drag and range.
Set to bag at least two electric motors mounted on the front and rear axle, it's thought power and torque will at least match the 430kW and 740Nm of torque of the upcoming Kia EV6 GT.
With that level of pace, expect the IONIQ 6 N to be capable of a 3.5-second 0-100km/h sprint and a top speed approaching 280km/h.
Beneath the skin it's thought plenty of exotic materials will reduce weight to boost performance while a more fast-road/track-focused suspension will increase agility and engagement.
There's no word when the IONIQ 6 N will make its debut but it's likely to be pipped to market by the rumoured IONIQ 5 N that could be introduced as soon as next year.
Stay tuned as all will be revealed at the Busan show on July 15.
