Hyundai has released its first teaser image of a battery-powered large SUV that's expected to be called the IONIQ 7 when it makes its debut in 2024.
Following its press conference at the Munich motor show earlier this week, the Korean car-maker posted an official teaser image on its social media channels that clearly reveals the all-new 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 7, although it is named only as the 'IONIQ Large SUV'.

Parked up beside the upcoming Hyundai IONIQ 6 sedan in the shadowy teaser, the new image suggests the flagship of the pure-electric sub-brand will have an aerodynamically honed snub-nose front-end, shallow-rake windscreen and smooth wind-cheating lines in a bid to maximise the big SUV's range.
Other take-aways are a grille-less face, wide full-width LED light bar and imposing vertical-mounted LEDs on the outer edges of the front bumper.
Squared-off wheel-arches and unusual six-spoke rims complete the IONIQ 7's sci-fi-inspired look.
Hyundai has confirmed the IONIQ 7 will get a 100kWh battery and 800-volt electrics. Range should be around 480km, while a dual-motor set-up should see it produce around 230kW.
Other details are still to be confirmed, but it's almost certain the biggest IONIQ will still ride on the car-maker's dedicated E-GMP architecture. It should also accommodate up to eight occupants over three rows.
Since it's due in 2024, the IONIQ 7 will come with Level 3 autonomous driving aids and other new tech that's likely to include air suspension and agility-boosting four-wheel steering.
A range-extending solar-panel roof and rear-view cameras have all been mooted for the all-electric BMW X7 rival.
This new teaser suggests Hyundai is ready to reveal its latest concept for the biggest member of the IONIQ family in the coming months.
