Hyundai teams up with STARK Industries for new Kona Iron Man Edition

This is the closest you’ll ever get to owning your own Tony Stark style Iron Man suit but unfortunately you won’t be able to fly (which is the whole appeal of being Iron Man to be honest).

This is the first ever Marvel Studios collaboration with a car brand and an interesting choice of that being the Hyundai Kona small SUV. The similarities between the two are obvious…they both kind of look similar…they both are full of technology…they both have had mild success in their respective categories (VFACTS Small SUV vs Marvel Avengers).

The Hyundai Kona Iron Man Edition will be available in Australia from March in a limited run of 400 cars available in one exterior colour, Matte Grey with Iron Man red roof. As well as a heap of smart safety tech, the Kona comes with bespoke Iron Man inspired features including Iron Man emblems on the front guards, puddle lamp projections and the bonnet has also been redesigned to feature a red bonnet bezel with Marvel logo.

The Iron Man theme continues on the inside too with red stitching and piping on the leather heated seats which feature a stitched STARK Industries logo and Iron Man helmet image. The instrument cluster and tachometer also feature the STARK Industries Arc Reactor as the background graphics, as does the leather wrapped and red stitched gear lever.

To top it off, the multimedia touch screen and instrument cluster feature an Iron Man themed graphical interface, while a character themed welcome animation appears on both the cluster and Head-Up Display.

The Iron Man theme is rounded off by a dashboard signature from Tony Stark. So no matter where you sit, you and your passengers will know for certain that this is well and truly an Iron Man special edition. Classy.

As far as special editions go, you really do get your money's worth of Iron Man decoration with this Hyundai Kona for $39,990, this could almost be our favourite car collaboration since the 1992 Holden Barina Sportsgirl.
