Japanese premium manufacturer Infiniti has officially announced its first authorised retail centre in Perth will open from March of 2016.
The long-awaited dealership in the west will be operated by the Barbagallo Group, and will be a 'tier-one dealer', providing Infiniti customers full access to retail, parts and servicing facilities in Perth.
Coming through with the promise made earlier this year to introduce an inaugural dealership in Perth, as well as plans for new dealerships in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, Infiniti's first authorised Retail Centre will be situated in Perth's Osborne Park, the city's well-known main automotive precinct.
Managing Director of Infiniti Cars, Jean-Phillipe Roux (pictured), said that this first dealership is an important step for the brand's growth in Australia.
"Announcing the appointment of Infiniti Centre Perth is an important milestone for our brand in Australia," he said.
"Perth and the wider Western Australian market are very important for Infiniti and expanding our national retail network to include Australia's west coast has been one of our priorities."
Roux also highlighted that the brand's growth will be boosted by several all-new and updated models arriving on Australian shores from next year, on top of the 26 per cent increase in sales this year to date.
Vince Barbagallo, Dealer Principal, believes that the premium car maker's prospects in Australia are very strong.
"So far this year, sales of luxury cars in Australia are growing at more than four times the rate of the overall market's expansion so Infiniti represents one of our most important growth opportunities," he said.
Some of the all-new and refreshed models to start arriving next year include the updated Q70 sedan, scheduled to arrive next January, followed by the highly-anticipated all-new Q30 active compact in the third quarter of next year, Infiniti's first ever competitor in the booming segment dominated by the Mercedes A-Class and Audi A3.
Several months later, the QX30 crossover will hit Australian shores (think GLA to A-Class), with the all-new Q60 sports coupe to round up next year's releases by the end of 2016.
Infiniti Centre Perth will be located at 9 Frobisher Street, Osborne Park, the company's fourth authorised Infiniti retail dealership, joining Infiniti Centres Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
