Infiniti Q30 to make digital debut at Goodwood

It was only last week that Japanese luxury car manufacturer Infiniti announced a Frankfurt Motor show debut for its upcoming Q30 small hatchback.

Now punters attending this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed (June 25-28) will be treated to an innovative digital reveal of the Q30 via a 3D Box– which could see the Q30 fast-tracked to Australia as soon as late-2015.

The 4.80m2 box will surround a full-size model of the production Q30 as a variety of LED light systems alternate to highlight certain sections of the body, including the car’s ‘distinctive shoulder line’ and ‘Infiniti design hallmarks’ including the double-arch grille, crescent-cut C-pillar and distinctive headlight arrangement.

Another wall of the box will house a 3.7m x 2.1m 3D screen which will depict Infiniti’s design heritage, with the effect working from up to 25m away even without specialised 3D glasses.

The Q30 digital showcase forms a key aspect of Infiniti’s Goodwood program, ‘Infiniti Shapes the Future’. Three award-winning concepts (QX30, Q60 and a full-size Q80 model) will also be displayed on the famous Goodwood lawns.
