Infiniti QX30 confirmed for LA show
Small Japanese crossover to be among 30 world debuts at November showOrganisers of the Los Angeles motor show have announced that Infiniti's all-new QX30 compact SUV will be among 30 world debuts when this year's show opens on November 17.
Already confirmed for its global premiere in LA is the new Hyundai Elantra and Fiat 124 Spider, and we also expect world-first unveilings of Mazda's new CX-9, the Mercedes-Benz GLS and – potentially -- BMW's first M2 and Porsche's facelifted Boxster/Cayman line-up.
The LA show people say car-makers officially confirmed to host premieres include Alfa Romeo, BMW, Bentley, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Infiniti, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru and Volkswagen.
In case you're confused, the QX30 is the crossover derivative of Infiniti's first compact hatchback, the Q30, which makes its global debut in Frankfurt later this month.
The Japanese luxury's brand's first compact SUV has been seen in concept guise (pictured) before, as well as snapped in testing, and — like the Q30 – is based on the same compact front/all-wheel drive MFA platform as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
Both models have been confirmed for Australia by mid-2016. While the Q30 arrives in the second quarter of next year, the QX30 will follow close behind.
