The ‘out there’ Tesla Cybertruck shocked the automotive world back in November 2019 with its Lotus Esprit sports car meets 1982 Blade Runner film inspired boxy angular design, but with 46,000 reservations in less than 48 hours after its reveal, they were obviously on to something.
Russian architecture firm Modern House released their designs of what a Cybertruck in house form would look like accompanied by its own Zombie based hypothetical situation.
The design treatment for the CyberHouse reads as follows:
“A zombie virus has finally broken out at a top-secret biolab. Decades of warnings from pop culture were not enough. Mindless but determined hordes of undead roam the countryside, devouring town after unsuspecting town. 6 or 7 people can wait for it all to blow over here in comfort, taunting zombies outside in complete personal safety.”
The designs shows similarities with the Cybertruck's angular shape through slanted metal and concrete walls, shielded windows with metallic blinds (we hope that they’re much more stronger than the initial demonstration of the Cybertruck’s ‘shatter proof’ windows) as well as airlocks. There is also an elevator to bring the Cybertruck from the garage up into the central atrium, isolated through a glass cover.
To give the compound a more homely nature, there is a top level entertainment area complete with fireplace so it isn't all just zombie bunker. The building is designed to be self-sufficient and off the grid too.
With the recent rise of diplomatic tensions between countries with nuclear warheads, natural disasters and new strains influenza, there has never been a more appropriate time to consider a bunker like house for an impending zombie apocalypse.
