Is this the next Aurion?

Toyota's locally-designed 'Prestige Camry' possibly outed by Ukraine website

We're still many months away from an official debut of Toyota's next-generation Aurion, but Toyota in the Ukraine has revealed how the V6 sedan is expected to look.

The pics of the new car were published by enthusiast website Autoblog with a brief article explaining that this is the 'business sedan' Camry that will be sold in the eastern European nation. Toyota internally describe this car as the 'prestige Camry', as we've reported in the past, but this car, which will be built alongside the four-cylinder Camry at the Altona production line is expected to be marketed as the next Aurion, and is believed to have been largely the work of Toyota's local design centre, Toyota Style Australia.

Australia and New Zealand are unusual among Toyota's global markets in that both the Camry and Aurion are sold here as distinct model lines. In other markets (Asia and, as we've now learned, the Ukraine), the Aurion is badged Camry and is usually sold with four-cylinder power. In the USA, the Camry is the four-cylinder model we know, but also with the option of V6 power.

The next-gen Aurion and the Hybrid version of the Camry are expected to go on sale in Australia before mid-year, 2012.
