Isuzu UTE Australia is continuing to kick goals Down Under, announcing a three-year deal as naming rights sponsor of the A-League football men’s competition.
Earlier this year, the Japanese car-maker hit a sales milestone when it notched up 200,000 vehicle sales in the 12 years it’s been operating in Australia.
Shortly after came the announcement of the brand’s three-year partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA), which sees the Isuzu D-MAX ute and MU-X SUV deployed to Aussie beaches as surf rescue patrol and support vehicles.

Now, the manufacturer is going from surf to turf, in another three-year sponsorship deal that’ll see Isuzu UTE not only have naming rights for the men’s competition, but status as ‘Official Automotive Partner’ across A-League men’s, women’s, youth and E-Sport leagues.
Made up of 12 professional men’s football clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand, Isuzu says a broad range of marketing opportunities include the deployment of a fleet of vehicles for “on-the-ground support”.
The deal also includes men’s player kit branding, signage and branding rights across all A-League channels, digital content and activation rights at all A-League men’s and women’s matches.

“We are delighted to be joining forces with the fastest-growing sport in the country,” said Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) chief Hiroyasu Sato.
“We recognise that football is a great vehicle for bringing families and communities together, from amateur weekend players through to the professional A-Leagues.
“It’s a natural fit with our customers who share that spirit of excitement and adventure with football fans, and we look forward to being able to support the A-Leagues and Network Ten to bring football to all Australians,” he said.

A-League managing director Danny Townsend said the organisation is proud to have partnered with Isuzu.
“We have an ambitious vision for the future of professional football and IUA will be a key partner on this journey,” he said.
The Isuzu UTE A-League Men is set to be televised across Network Ten via free-to-air and on-demand, with the partnership officially kicking off from October 6, 2021.
The first match is scheduled for November 19.
