Italdesign teases supercar for Geneva motor show

Famous Italian stylist Italdesign confirms it has something special in store for the Swiss show

Italdesign has continued the information drip feed for a new concept or production car it plans to reveal at the Geneva motor show.

The Audi-owned design house had already confirmed it planned to unveil a new Italdesign model back on January 15, issuing an obscure picture.

But the latest vid, which focuses on the vehicle's huge rear wing, draws strong parallels with the 2017 Audi R8-based ZeroUno supercar, as well as the roadster version that followed it last year.

Italdesign sold five coupes and roadsters, with the latter selling at more than $3 million apiece.

Last year, Italdesign also collaborated with Nissan to create the stunning GT-R50 to help celebrate both its 50th anniversary and 50 years of GT-R.

The 50 Nissan GT-R50s reportedly were sold for $1.4 million each.

Despite being owned by Audi, the latest concept or production vehicle could have been created as a partnership with another car-maker as Italdesign develops its coach building business.
