Italdesign teases wild new supercar

Audi-owned Italian stylist set to follow up R8-based Zerouno, will make its debut at the Geneva motor show

Italdesign Giugiaro has begun teasing an all-new supercar it plans to pull the drapes off this March at the Geneva motor show.

The first obscure teaser, posted to its social media channels overnight, features the coupe's rear glass quarter panel with a vent thought to feed air to an airblade-style spoiler.

Pledging to release one teaser a week until its launch at the Geneva, the famous Italian stylist is likely to base its latest creation on a current Audi product following the German car-maker's purchase of Italdesign back in 2015.

Back in 2017 Italdesign unveiled its Audi R8-based ZeroUno supercar and followed it up with a roadster version last year.

Italdesign eventually made and sold five coupes and roadsters, with the latter selling for close to more than $3 million apiece.

Last year Italdesign also collaborated with Nissan to create the stunning GT-R50 to help celebrate both its 50th anniversary and 50 years of GT-Rs.

The 50 Nissan GT-R50s reportedly were sold for $1.4 million each.
