Jaguar's F-PACE SUV, officially to be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in September, has been seen by avid followers of the Tour de France over the weekend.
Supporting Team Sky for the event, the F-PACE filed past up to one million spectators at the Grand Depart in Utrechect, which is actually located in the Netherlands. Jaguar had removed the camouflage from the F-PACE, but wrapped the service vehicle in vinyl.
Team Sky's riders during the event were Ian Stannard, Luke Rowe, Peter Kennaugh, Leopold König and Chris Froome.
"The atmosphere in Utrecht was incredible," said Carsten Jeppesen, Team Sky Head of Technical Operations and Commercial.
"The Netherlands has a huge passion for cycling and right from the moment we arrived at the start line, you could feel the excitement. The appearance of Jaguar's F-PACE prototype definitely added to the hype today - you could see it made a big impact with the crowds."
Based on the C-X17 concept car that made its Frankfurt debut two years ago, the F-PACE will go into production for a global on-sale date next year.
