Jaguar XJR Portfolio

A limited edition XJ sedan is limited only by the number of cars on sale

Only five buyers will fluke it for the chance to own one of Australia's most exclusive cars -- the Jaguar XJR Portfolio.

Priced at $239,900, the XJR Portfolio represents the pinnacle of the XJ sedan range (more here) and features a list of expensive and desirable features added to the specification of the XJR supercharged 4.2-litre V8 sedan on which the Portfolio model is based.

Those items include 20-inch 'Callisto' alloy wheels in a five-spoke design; a bright mesh grille insert; aluminium heat extractors in the front quarter panels; charcoal upholstery with contrasting 'Dove' stitching and aluminium weave highlights in the cabin; Bluetooth capability with steering wheel controls; satellite navigation; audio and climate controls operated from a touch screen or by voice command and leather-edged floormats.

Powered by a 298kW supercharged V8 that develops as much as 80 per cent of its maximum torque from as little as 2000rpm, the car will reach 100km/h in 5.3 seconds from a standing start.

Active air suspension is fitted as standard and combines with Jaguar's 'CATS' electronic suspension technology for automatic modulation of ride and handling.

The XJR Portfolio goes on sale from August.
