Jaguar was pleasantly taken aback by the success of last year's limited edition XKR Portfolio, so the prestige importer has another 10 units available, for those who missed out last time. At least the wait was worth the while, since the XKR Portfolio for 2008 is better equipped than its predecessor.
Priced at $246,000 and on sale from this month, the 2008 model will only be built in the coupe body style. All cars will be painted in Shadow Grey, complemented by the coordinating Shadow finish of the 20-inch 'Selena' alloy wheels in five-spoke design. The wheels feature red Jaguar 'Heritage' badges at the hub.
Buyers can select either of two colours for the interior leather trim. Warm Charcoal contrasts with Cranberry stitching and the two-tone scheme of Ivory/Charcoal leather contrasts with Slate blue stitching. Spun aluminium highlights, 'Alston' headlining, leather-edged floor mats and exclusive scuff plates with the 'Portfolio' legend are all specified for the interior.
Capping off the equipment list is the Bowers and Wilkins speaker array of Kevlar mid-range units and aluminium dome tweeters to enhance the premium audio system.
The XKR Portfolio is fitted with a high-performance brake package supplied by Alcon and tested at Jaguar's engineering centre.
