Jeep Australia has announced it will release the Grand Cherokee SRT Night special-edition in June.
No pricing has been released for the stealth-look Grand Cherokee, which will be limited to just 120 units for Australia.
Based on the ballistic Grand Cherokee SRT ($90,000 plus on-road costs), additional features will include a black roof and lightweight new 20-inch satin-black '5Ten' wheels specifically designed to showcase the standard Brembo brakes.
Also given the black-out look is the seven-slot Jeep grille, lower front fascia, badging and side window surrounds.
Continuing the black theme inside is Laguna leather seat upholstery with silver accent stitching for the door armrests and centre console lid, and black chrome and anodized silver bezels throughout the cabin.
Other new standard equipment will include a CommandView dual-pane panoramic sunroof and Harman Kardon 19-speaker premium audio system.
Outputs of the gigantic 6.4-litre HEMI V8 are unchanged at 344kW and 624Nm, allowing the SRT Night to hit 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds, on it way to a mid-13-second quarter-mile run and a 255km/h top speed.
“The Night edition gives our customers the opportunity to purchase a customised vehicle straight from the dealership, with Jeep’s most popular style enhancements already applied,” said FCA Australia director of product and marketing, Zac Loo.
“The Grand Cherokee SRT is already a potent performance SUV and the Night edition looks even better on the road.”
